Dashboard Marker →
I wrapped up my greasemonkey script today so, as promised, here it is. Please let me know if you have any problems or suggestions. (Screenshot posted here for the curious.) This script adds two links to your Tumblr Dashboard that allow you to mark your current page as read. When you return later, hit the find button and it will search backwards for the last post you read allowing you to pick...

I normally stay away from BoingBoingTV but this time-lapse video of the Millennium Falcon LEGO set construction is pretty neat. Happy 50th LEGO.  (FYI, the navigation and some video gets cut off in the Dashboard.)

Domain Change
I got tired of waiting until I make a theme I like so I’ve finally switched this site over to my registered domain.  There’s a few things I need to work out but here we are.  First off, I apologize to anyone on my RSS feed as the domain change triggered Feedburner to repost the last 10 or 20 items.  The RSS link will stay the same for now but will likely change in the future. I’m...

State of the Union Drinking Game →
My favorite:If Bush pimps his economic stimulus plan, which will net you between $600 and $1,200 by May if you’re a taxpayer, take a shot, then go online and buy a Wii, but do not address your mounting credit card debt. That would be letting the terrorists win.

Tumblr Custom Theme Tags →
camh: Tumblr’s theming engine got a lot of attention in the latest Tumblr update. Scroll down and look at all the goodies with the “new” label next to them. Also included in the Tumblr update is multi-author tumblelogs, and a new theme editor. Sweet, some of the new tags may make it possible to make the theme I had wanted to do. Now if only I had some artistic talent. Also, it’s nice to...

Paste in the file name of an image from Flickr, such as 513391436_fddc8faa28_o.jpg, and this tool will find the original photo page on Flickr.  I’ve been wanting something like this for quite a while.  Thanks for the link inky.

Greasemonkey Tumblr Dashboard Marker
I was bored today so I wrote a greasemonkey script that allows you to mark your position on the dashboard then automatically search backwards to find that post again later allowing you to resume right where you left off.  Not the fastest thing in the world but it seems to work pretty well.  Once I make some usability tweaks I’ll release it for public consumption.  Expect the first version...

I finally have my unread items in Google reader under 200 items.  I don’t think I’ve had it that low since I started using Reader.  In the last two weeks I’ve reduced that number by over 700 (almost half of that was this the last couple days alone) plus all the new items in that time.  I’ve quickly learned which feeds I could unsubscribe from and also limited how many items...

How did I never hear about Fido? Paraphrasing the plot synopsis, Fido is a zombie buddy pic/love story set in a picture-perfect, technicolored 1950s suburb. With the world still recovering from a zombie war, the town of Willard has found a way to keep the peace by domesticating the undead, turning them into faithful servants of the human race.

MPAA admits mistake on downloading study →
Shortened version of the important bits: In a 2005 study it commissioned, the MPAA claimed that 44 percent of the industry’s domestic losses came from illegal downloading of movies by college students. The MPAA has used the study to pressure colleges to take tougher steps to prevent illegal file-sharing and to back legislation currently before the House of Representatives that would force...

Macbook Air vs Toshiba R500 →
I was seeing a bunch of comparisons made between the Macbook Air and the Toshiba R500 so out of curiosity and boredom, I put together this chart real quick.  There are two extra sheets that only compare the top or bottom models too.  I’m not commenting on which is better, I’ll leave that to you and your needs.  If I missed something or got something wrong, let me know and I’ll...

Re: You are kidding arent you?
Answering your question about this post, yes, he is kidding. He is a very good troll and doing a search for his comments, you get many golden nuggets about Vista’s dominance. Here’s a couple highlights:Its clearly evident that vista is the future. One only has to watch TV for a short period of time and see the advertising. WOW  !! I personally love the part where the young...
