Still exhausted and dazed, but very amazed!
A thousand times congratulations Cory! Give my best wishes to Natalie.
My 'Liked' Posts →
I had toyed with the idea of doing this before (I already have an auto-reblog framework setup) but I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about sharing my liked posts. With zero effort required with the new official method though, we’ll see how it goes. Things end up getting liked instead of reblogged because the barrier to entry (other than having to be a Tumblr post) is much lower...

Litter is a much bigger problem here. I’ve seen people just tossing trash on the ground—if you did that in Eugene you’d most likely get shivved by a hippie.
It’s easy to see why, though—there are very few trash cans along the sidewalks. I had to carry an empty coffee cup several blocks before I could dispose of it properly.

Tumblr Noise Meter →
At Jeff Rock’s urging last night, I’ve posted a greasemonkey script that I made a while ago for myself. The basic purpose is to help find the people who post a lot and are filling up your dashboard. I used this to cut out a bunch of the worst offenders and although I only unfollowed a fraction of the people I follow, it made a significant impact on the number of posts I was seeing....
Obama writes girl a note for missing school →
pica:
“Do you need me to write a note?” Obama asked. The crowd laughed, but the president was serious.
On a piece of paper, he wrote: “To Kennedy’s teacher: Please excuse Kennedy’s absence. She’s with me. Barack Obama.” He stepped off the stage to hand-deliver the note — to Kennedy’s surprise.
Thanks!
Thanks to everyone who showed up to the meetup last night. It was great to see some familiar faces and several new ones. I guess Tumblr finally figured out what to get Marco for his birthday as even he was surprised when Tumblr footed the bill. Tiffany has the roll call and some (probably very dark) pictures that we’ll hopefully get to see.
